New Students - Orbis

Orbis is a student organization of the Humboldt University. Orbis provides volunteers who speak English and are happy to help new students. You can contact the Orbis office and request a student to help you with many of the various tasks involved in moving to Berlin and becoming a student. For example, Orbis volunteers can pick you up at the airport, help you bring your luggage to your dormitory, help you register your new address in Berlin, and/or help you extend your visa once you have arrived.

If for any reason your flight is delayed, please make sure you have some way of contacting your Orbis volunteer to let them know. It is extremely impolite to make someone travel to the airport, or otherwise go out of their way to assist you, and then have you not show up.
