The master's program in molecular medicine now uses two different application systems. Which system you use depends largely on your nationality, residence, and where you studied. The table below indicates which system you should use. However, before you begin the application steps, we strongly urge you to read the Who Should Apply page of our website
In some cases it may be possible for you to select the system under which you prefer to apply. Those cases are also described in the table below. However, keep in mind that you are only allowed to apply under one system or the other. In other words, if you apply under the international system and are rejected, you may not then apply under the German/EU system, even if you meet some of those criteria as well.
Once you determine which system you will apply under, please click on the name in table to find out what you need to do and when.
Hint: Your chances of being accepted do not differ if you apply under one system or the other.

· Students who earned (or will earn) their degree outside of the European Union.
· Students who will require a student visa to study in Germany if accepted to the program.
· Students who live outside of the European Union.
· Students who hold a non- European Union passport. |

· Completed application due June 15th.
· Decision regarding admissions: July 15th |
German and EU System |
· Students who hold a German or EU Passport
· Students who currently reside in the EU.
· Students who have earned a degree at a university within the EU.
· Students who will NOT need to apply for a student visa if accepted to the program. |
· Completed application due June 15th.
· Decision regarding admissions sent out on June 15th.
· Student reply required by August 1st. |
Can select either system |
· Students who hold a passport from a non-EU country but who have studied and will earn their degree in a German or EU university.
· Students who hold a German or EU passport but will earn their degree from a non-EU university.
· Students who earned their degree outside of the EU, but are now currently living in an EU country and/or will not need to apply for a visa to study in Germany. |
