Given that the aim of the
master's program is not only to produce qualified researchers
in molecular medicine, but also to train scientists for the
future in the field, it is imperative that all instruction
take place in English. English has obviously become our global
language; competance in the language is not only useful, but
a requirement for sucessful participation in the field. Furthermore,
students not only recieve instruction in English, but they
are required to give presentations, read literature, write
all exams, and complete the thesis in the language as well.
Consequently, demonstrating competence in the English is one
of the requirements for admission to the program. The ability
to speak German is useful, but not necessary, and not a requirement
for admission.
